NLP
NLP is a Coaching tool used by practitioners to facilitate change in people for various outcomes. It has been used worldwide since the 1970’s and was co-created by Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder after having observed and modelled the best therapists in the industry of personal change and development. "Neuro" relates to the brain and "linguistic" refers to language and how it is used inside the mind and out of the mouth. "Programming" describes the patterns and habits created, learnt and followed. Using NLP techniques and strategies, will provide people with the skills to think in new ways so that they feel in control. In many ways it is very similar to CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) in that people are given strategies and techniques to gain control and regulate their inner emotional state. Most events outside of ourselves are pretty uncontrollable. Unfortunately the society in which we live results in so many new anxieties and phobias for us as well those habits we have carried with us until now. Therefore, learning and having these strategies at hand can be invaluable and can break those long established unhelpful patterns. I work with you not on you.

Hypnotherapy
It is believed that hypnosis has been used therapeutically since at least 2000 BC. Modern hypnotherapy is professional, safe, gentle, calming and non-judgemental.
It is perfectly safe for the majority of people because it is a relaxed state that they already utilise when learning, watching television or doing something creative. Ideally you will be able to experience a deep, eyes closed relaxing trance. During a subtle shift in a person’s levels of awareness we can begin to implant suggestions for change or improvement as soon as it is seen that even an awakened trance is achieved. Hypnotherapy has a long history of helping people with a range of common problems including:

Time Line Therapy
Time Line TherapyTM has become widely known as one of the most effective methods for creating quick, lasting change for an individual. It is a hypnotic approach created by the late Tad James. It derives from NLP and is based on the concept that our unconscious mind stores memories in a linear pattern much like a timeline. Simply put, this timeline is a mental and sequential photo album of our life.
The Time Line TherapyTM process allows you to work with the practitioner at the unconscious level and release the effects of past negative experiences and change ‘inappropriate’ programming in minutes rather than days, months or years. This will be a faster process than what is commonly known as Brief Therapy. |
EFT
EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple, yet effective technique combining ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. It was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990’s after studying TFT. By tapping gently on specific points of your body, using your fingers, EFT uses the energy pathways, known as meridians as well as specific NLP language.
Meridians are energy pathways, starting or ending at the tip of your fingers, toes, face and head. There are 20 meridians in the body. By tapping on meridian end points , we add energy to these pathways to stimulate throughout the entire meridian. Imagine having a long piece of string . If you were to pick up one end and start moving it in a rhythmic motion, the vibration would travel down the entire piece of string. The kinetic effect of tapping on an acupressure point acts in the same way. By focussing on our emotions as well as the physical sensations as we tap, we are able to release energy that is no longer of any use to us in mind or body. In turn, EFT calms the nervous system and restores the body’s balance to relieve any underlying emotional and emotional issues. EFT is simple to learn and apply and can be taught to adults and children alike. |
